MORE FUNDING FOR TORQUAY AQUATIC AND HEALTH CENTRE
Torquay is moving closer to getting its own Aquatic and Health Centre.
The Victorian Government has allocated $3.5 million from the Growing Suburbs Fund towards the Surf Coast
Community Wellbeing Spaces Project, which will form part of the proposed Surf Coast Aquatic and Health Centre.
A further $10 million has already been committed to the $39.25 million Aquatic and Health Centre project and with the Australian Government commitment of $20 million, the project has now secured $33.5m of external funding. SCS mayor, Cr Libby Stapleton said that she was “confident Council will quickly find a way to resolve the last $500,000.
